"Winter of 2018 till March 15, 2019, my wife and I stayed at the Warming Center and enjoyed the shelter. The showers, the coffee and breakfasts, especially biscuits and gravy, and the difference in having a good night's sleep and the all-around goodwill and encouragement from the volunteers and staff definitely allowed us to thrive, saving money. While we stayed at the Warming Center, we saved over $1,400 and found a room to rent at a house. We eventually got our own place. My wife and I would like to say thank you for your kindness and dedication, and all the work that enabled us to survive a very cold winter. If your Warming Center hadn't been around for us, things could have gone a very different way for us. Thank you for your good grace, and God bless you and all your family and friends."
